Curiosity works when the viewer can predict a satisfying answer. Open a gap, then close it.

Open a gap you can close

“You will not believe this” is empty. “Watch what happens when I drop the photo in” gives the viewer a picture of the payoff. They stay because they want to check their guess.

Show progress

A reaction, a finger about to tap, a before frame. Curiosity dies if the next second looks unrelated. The cut should feel like the answer arriving.

Pay it quickly

If the answer shows up after a long monologue, people feel tricked. Three to five seconds is a fair contract. Then you can ask for the click.
