A custom shoot or a hook library: what you are really paying for
Compare time, rights, and how many openings you can learn from — not just the invoice.
What a shoot buys
A person with your product, your words, and a look you directed. That is the right spend when the ad fails without the product in frame, or when you need a claim only a real user can make.
What a library buys
Many first seconds you can put in front of one demo. The cost per opening drops fast if you actually test them. It is the wrong spend if you need the creator to mention a regulated claim or show your UI as if they built it.
A simple way to decide
Count usable variations, not assets delivered. One beautiful film with one opening teaches you less than five honest hooks on the same demo. If learning speed matters more than a signature look, start with hooks. If the product itself is the spectacle, book the shoot.
