How to test the first three seconds without wasting the budget
Keep the campaign boring and the opening interesting. That is how a small spend still teaches you something.
Freeze everything except the hook
Same audience, same placement, same demo, same end card. If the platform needs a new ad ID, fine. Do not “improve” the rest while you are looking at the start.
Give each opening enough delivery to be rude, not scientific
You do not need a lab. You need enough impressions to see whether people stay or leave. Kill the ones that collapse immediately. Do not average them into a maybe.
Spend on learning, then on the winner
A little budget across a few hooks is tuition. Pouring the whole week into an untested film is a gamble. Move money only after one opening clearly holds better than the others.
