Where hooks come from: shoots, markets, and libraries
Each source solves a different problem. Pick by how many openings you need to test, not by which tool sounds newest.
A marketplace or creator brief
Good when the person has to hold your product, say your name, or walk through a workflow only they understand. Slower, and you still have to write a clear brief or you will get a generic read.
An agency
Useful when you want strategy, casting, and edits handled. Expensive if your real bottleneck is “we need ten new first seconds this week.” Ask what you own, where you can run it, and how fast a new hook can ship.
A hook library
Useful when the demo already exists and you are testing reactions in front of it. You are buying speed and variety, not a custom endorsement. Check the license before you put it in paid ads.
A question to ask first
Do you need a new product story, or a new reason to watch the story you already have? The first is a shoot. The second is usually a hook.
